Each average banana contains about 100-150 calories which come from simple starch, about 3.5 grams of dietary fibers, 12-15% vitamin C, very less amount of protein (about 1 gram), 50-55 milligrams of potassium and very less amount of cholesterol or fat. It's a good source of iron and vitamin B also.
Now I'm focusing on the benefits of banana.

- In cases of anemia it works as a remedy. It's rich in iron which stimulates production of hemoglobin,
- People who are suffering from heartburn, can have banana for its soothing effect, works as natural antacid.
- Banana contains tryptophan which stimulates serotonin production, triggers on elevating mood. Also triggers on sleep hormone which induce good sleep
- It has vitamin B, helps to calm nervous system.
- The people who have high blood pressure, I think banana is very good choice to maintain blood pressure, because potassium & magnesium in banana helps to reduce high blood pressure
- Water soluble fiber (pectin) in banana helps to decrease LDL cholesterol.
